As far as physiologic drainage pathways are concerned, MIGS implants must bypass the trabecular meshwork (TM) to allow drainage of aqueous from the anterior chamber into Schlemm’s canal (SC). An interesting element of SC is that it is not a smooth, simple, tubular passage as the name seems to imply.
