Modern multifocal contact lenses are designed to deliver consistent vision at multiple distances and to support efficient fitting. Pairing proven optical designs with lens materials that help maintain on-eye comfort enables practitioners to meet the needs of a broad range of patients and provide a satisfactory overall wearing experience. This Medical Backgrounder summarizes selected clinical studies evaluating delefilcon A and lehfilcon A multifocal contact lenses, which feature the center-near PRECISION PROFILE® Design.

Collectively, these data support use of the current fitting guide to achieve a high initial fitting success rate, and demonstrate vision performance that is independent of pupil size and non-inferior to the Pupil Optimized design.
